National Fuel Gas Supply Corp. (Supply), the pipeline and storage segment of National Fuel Gas Co., is conducting an open season until Sept. 12 for capacity in the Appalachian corridor in southwestern and central Pennsylvania that will provide transportation and storage services to Northeast market interconnects including Ellisburg, Leidy and Corning.

Tennessee to Assess Possible Leak Offshore Louisiana

El Paso’s Tennessee Gas Pipeline declared a force majeure event Wednesday night in conjunction with a “possible leak” on its TTT Pipeline segment offshore Louisiana. Six Eugene Island meters and four Ship Shoal meters were required to shut in until further notice.

Noting that it is currently repairing leaks in the TL-264 segment, Dominion said Tuesday it was hoping to make the repairs without shutting in production. However, line pressures behind Cornwell Station got too high and it became necessary that production in bubbles 2207, 3225 and 3226 behind Cornwell’s No. 9 unit and in bubbles 2205 and 2206 behind Cornwell’s No. 7 and 8 units be shut in immediately until further notice.

Gulf South will begin about five days of scheduled pipe maintenance on its Index 300-11 segment in Jackson County, MS, on May 1. The Pascagoula (from Chandeleur) and Pascagoula (to Chevron) points will be shut in during this work. To the extent that Primary Firm service is interrupted at the affected locations, Gulf South will claim force majeure.

Citing a pipeline leak, Gulf South said Wednesday it will begin an estimated 12 hours of unscheduled maintenance on its Index 129 segment at Mile Post 44 south of the Edna Compressor Station effective with the start of Thursday’s gas day. Five points south of Edna will be required to shut in during this work. “To the extent firm service is interrupted, Gulf South will be claiming force majeure for as long as service cannot be performed due to the maintenance activity,” the pipeline said.
