A Pacific Northwest business-labor coalition asked the federal Internal Revenue Service (IRS) last Tuesday to examine the nonprofit, tax-exempt status of the environmental organization Columbia Riverkeepers (CRK) for allegedly working covertly in a recent anti-liquefied natural gas (LNG) local election. Energy Action Northwest filed a complaint against CRK and asked the IRS to launch an investigation.

Project Offers Haynesville Producers Market Alternatives

Enterprise Products Partners LP and Duncan Energy Partners LP said late Tuesday their Acadian Gas LLC subsidiary will extend its Louisiana intrastate pipeline into northwest Louisiana to give Haynesville Shale producers expanded access to markets via Acadian’s existing 1,000-mile system in South Louisiana and connections to nine major interstate pipelines.

Canadian exporters scored an 18.7% revenue gain in the last natural gas contract year. But the period also ushered in a pronounced downturn in the volume of trade with the United States. Improved prices accounted for virtually all of the increase in the total value of Canadian gas exports in the 12 months that ended Oct. 31, show records kept by the National Energy Board (NEB).
