CenterPoint issued an Operational Alert and reduced capacity on Line 2 South to 115,000 Dth/d Wednesday, saying the restriction will be in effect until unscheduled repairs of Unit #5 at Custer Station are completed. The expected duration of this work is one week, the pipeline said.

Tennessee Gas Pipeline said Friday that effective for the Feb. 15 gas day and due to nominations in excess of available capacity, it continued its restriction of 15% of secondary receipt nominations at meters located on the Central Texas Gathering System, including the Transco Wharton meter. Deliveries to meters located east of the Checks (MLV 245 and MLV 321) originating at meters located upstream of the Checks are sealed through secondary services (Park Withdrawal/ Loan, IT-X, IT, AOT, PAT, Payback from Tennessee, EDS/ERS, Secondary). Primary increases only. Receipts from meters located on the Central Texas Gathering System, including the Transco Wharton meter (011929) are sealed through secondary services. Deliveries to meters downstream of Station 200 originating at meters located upstream of Station 200 are sealed through interruptible services. Primary and secondary increases only. Deliveries to meters located downstream of Station 87 originating at meters located upstream of Station 87 also are sealed through interruptible services. Effective today, Northern Border is lifting a firm-only restriction on its 42-inch Monchy/Port of Morgan to Ventura segment. The constraint had been implemented Wednesday due to compressor station outages upstream of Ventura (see Daily GPI, Oct. 4).

PG&E Gas Transmission-Northwest said scheduled Station 3 maintenance (see Daily GPI, April 23) is causing a greater restriction than anticipated. Starting with Thursday’s Intra-day 1 cycle and effective until further notice, Kingsgate capacity was further limited to 2,220 MMcf/d.

Major and independent gas producers last week commended FERC fortaking steps to reinstate its authority to make well determinationsso that qualified producers can obtain Section 29 tax credits forhigh-cost gas wells. But they urged the Commission to extend thedetermination process to all qualifying wells, irrespective ofwhether the wells were spudded and/or recompleted pre-Jan. 1, 1993or whether they were recompleted after Dec. 31, 1992.
