Encana U.S. Liquids Output Set to Double This Year

Woodside Drops Browse LNG Plan on Costs

High costs have prompted Woodside Petroleum Ltd. to scrap plans for the proposed onshore Browse LNG Development at James Price Point (JPP) in Western Australia, but the company is leaving the door open to a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) development, among other options, to commercialize Browse Basin gas reserves.

Continental Resources Railing Bakken Crude East

Crude oil from the Bakken Shale will be Delaware-bound under an agreement between leading Bakken producer Continental Resources Inc. and PBF Energy Inc. Crude is to be delivered by rail to PBF’s double-loop track at its refinery in Delaware City.

Ridgeline Energy Services Inc. said it plans to construct a water treatment facility in the Marcellus Shale near Punxsutawney, PA. The Calgary-based company said it had executed an agreement for an initial single train commercial installation (STCI) that would concentrate on produced water, with an anchor customer providing about 2,500-4,000 b/d of wastewater. Ridgeline said it was looking to build additional permanent installations in the same production area and expand its presence in western Pennsylvania. Installation of the first STCI is to begin in about a month.

Phillips 66 Gulf Coast Fractionator to Bypass Mont Belvieu

In its efforts to maximize the opportunities provided by the domestic shale oil and gas boom, Houston-based Phillips 66 said it plans to develop a 100,000 b/d natural gas liquids (NGL) fractionator in Old Ocean, TX, which would provide an alternative for suppliers wary of congestion at facilities located in and around Mont Belvieu, TX.
