Tennessee said it will implement Tuesday an Imbalance Warning requiring customers to match physical flow with scheduled quantities in Zones 0, 1, L, 2 and 4 upstream of Station 219 to prevent imbalances that would threaten its operational integrity. “Due to mild weather, Bear Creek storage field testing and high utilization through Station 219 Tennessee does not have the ability to absorb imbalances caused by overdeliveries by receipt point operators into the system and undertakes from the system by delivery point operators,” the pipeline said.

Tennessee implemented an Imbalance Warning for market-area Zones 5 and 6 Thursday, saying effective immediately it requested that customers match physical flow with scheduled quantities to prevent imbalances in those zones that would threaten the pipeline’s operational integrity. “Due to the emergent repair issue at Station 321 and high demand in the Northeast, Tennessee does not have the ability to absorb imbalances caused by underdeliveries by receipt point operators into the system and overtakes from the system by delivery point operators.”

ConocoPhillips Consolidates Global Trading Arms

ConocoPhillips last week said it was consolidating its regional trading arm into a global business based in London to increase its presence in physical natural gas and oil marketing. The London office will monitor U.S. and Asian markets, while the supply trading would be carried out in Houston, where the company is headquartered.

Cash Strength Narrows Gap with Futures

Adding to the week’s already strong run, cash points took the streak of unanimous gains to four on Thursday as physical gas prices for Friday gas delivery continued to close the gap with futures prices.
