Buckeye Completes CA Lodi Storage Facility Acquisition

Pennsylvania-based Buckeye Partners LP announced Friday it has closed its purchase of the Lodi Gas Storage LLC facility in northern California. Originally announced in July of last year (see Daily GPI, July 25, 2007), the purchase was from ArcLight Capital Partners LLC for total cash consideration of approximately $432 million, Buckeye said.

FERC Wednesday gave Equitrans LP the green light to sell the bulk of its 87-mile Three Rivers Pipeline in western Pennsylvania to its distribution company affiliate, Equitable Gas Co., for an estimated $1.09 million.

Chestnut Ridge Storage LLC has launched a nonbinding open season for up to 25 Bcf of new natural gas storage capacity at the proposed Junction Natural Gas Storage Facility being developed in southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia. Chestnut Ridge is owned by affiliates of Omaha, NE-based Tenaska Power Fund LP (TPF) and Houston’s eCORP LLC. Junction is being converted from a depleted gas reservoir into a multi-cycle, high-deliverability storage facility with 500,000 Dth/d of injection and withdrawal capability. Its target in-service date is 1Q2009. The open season will close at 5 p.m. CDT on Oct. 10. Pennsylvania PUC Signs Off on $50,000 Fine Against Dominion Peoples

Bringing to a close its natural gas pipeline safety violations case against Dominion Peoples last Thursday, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) announced that it has approved a settlement between the utility and the PUC’s prosecutory staff that fines the company $50,000.
