Spectra Energy subsidiary Texas Eastern Transmission LP opened a nonbinding open season for its proposed Texas Eastern Appalachia to Market (TEAM) expansion to transport emerging Appalachian gas production to markets, including those in the Mid-Atlantic and New England states (see related story). The TEAM expansion program has a targeted capacity of approximately 300 MMcf/d but will be scalable and sized to meet customer needs, the company said. The first phase is scheduled to be in service as early as November 2011. TEAM would provide shippers with the opportunity to design transportation services from multiple existing and proposed receipt points on the Texas Eastern system within the Appalachian production region in West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania that span Texas Eastern’s M-2 and M-3 market zones to delivery points across Texas Eastern’s market area including Lambertville, NJ; the Steckman Ridge Storage project in Bedford, PA; near Transco Station 195 in York County, PA; Dominion Transmission at Chambersburg, PA; and Columbia Gas Transmission near Eagle, PA. The project is expected to have more than 30 interconnects. The project would allow producers to connect Appalachian supplies to premium markets and shippers to reach back to supply points in the West Virginia and Pennsylvania regions, the company said. A recently completed nonbinding open season for services at Atmos Energy Corp.’s proposed Fort Necessity salt-dome gas storage project in Franklin Parish, LA, was a success, with participants requesting more than three times the 5 Bcf of capacity proposed for the project’s first phase, the company said Friday.

Cardinal Gas Storage Partners LLC subsidiary Perryville Gas Storage LLC is holding a nonbinding open season for 15 Bcf of capacity at a planned gas storage facility about 12 miles south of Delhi, LA.

In an effort to better serve Northeast shippers, Inergy LP subsidiary Inergy Midstream LLC announced that it is conducting a nonbinding open season on its Marc I Hub Line for shippers seeking to move gas bi-directionally between Inergy’s Stagecoach South Lateral pipeline, Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co.’s (TGP) 300 Line and Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corp.’s (Transco) Leidy Line.

Perryville Gas Storage LLC, a subsidiary of Cardinal Gas Storage Partners LLC, will hold a nonbinding open season for capacity at a planned storage facility about 12 miles south of Delhi, LA, the company said. Commercial services are expected to begin in 2012, and the facility is expected to provide 1,200 MMcf/d of peak deliverability and 600 MMcf/d of peak injection capability from two salt caverns. Each cavern is expected to contain 7.5 Bcf of working gas. The facility would have the ability to interconnect to the CenterPoint Energy’s Perryville Hub and several pipelines near the facility as well as a number of additional pipelines at Delhi. Some of those pipelines include CenterPoint Line CP, the Southeast Supply Header, Columbia Gulf, Tennessee Gas PipeLine Line 100, ANR, Trunkline, Texas Gas, GulfSouth, Gulf Crossing and the Mid-Continent Express. The open season is expected to begin on June 23 and end July 18. Palomar Gas Transmission LLC, a joint venture of TransCanada Corp. and Northwest Natural Gas Co., said last week it is moving ahead on a nonbinding open season to gauge interest in capacity from shippers seeking to move Rocky Mountain natural gas into markets in the Willamette Valley of northwest Oregon and the West Coast’s I-5 Corridor.

Palomar Gas Transmission LLC, a joint venture of TransCanada Corp. and Northwest Natural Gas Co., said Monday it is moving ahead on a nonbinding open season to gauge interest in capacity from shippers seeking to move Rocky Mountain natural gas into markets in the Willamette Valley of northwest Oregon and the West Coast’s I-5 Corridor.
