Oregon LNG Gets FERC Approval to Use Pre-Filing Process

Oregon LNG, a unit of Leucadia National Corp., announced last week that it gained FERC approval to use the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) pre-filing process for its proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving terminal at the mouth of the Columbia River on the Oregon side. It proposes to develop the project and related pipeline originally conceived as Skipanon by Chapter 11-bound Calpine Corp. Oregon LNG purchased the development rights from Calpine in February.

It proposes to develop the project and related pipeline originally conceived as Skipanon by Chapter 11-bound Calpine Corp. Oregon LNG purchased the development rights from Calpine in February.

Tidelands Begins NEPA Prefiling Process on 2 Large Border Crossing Pipelines

San Antonio-based Tidelands Oil & Gas Corp. initiated the pre-filing process at FERC under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for the United States portion of its proposed Burgos Hub Export/Import Project, which is expected to lead to development of Mexico’s first natural gas market hub, gas storage field and offshore Gulf of Mexico liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal.

Cheniere Energy Inc. has initiated the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) pre-filing process at FERC for its fourth proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal, Creole Trail LNG, and an associated 118-mile 3.3 Bcf/d pipeline system from the terminal at the mouth of the Calcasieu Channel in Cameron Parish, LA, to Rayne, LA.
