PG&E’s organizational shuffling is not over yet. A weekafter announcing plans to sell its entire energy services divisionand a month after selling its unprofitable Texas gas transmissionassets to El Paso, PG&E Corp. has told all of its Houston-basedgas traders to pack their bags and prepare for a move to Bethesda,MD.

Columbia Energy Group’s eight-month refrain of “wrong price,wrong time, wrong company,” referring to NiSource’s hostile tenderoffer, was unexpectedly altered yesterday to the more upbeat tuneof right price, right time, right company. However, Columbia CEOOliver G. Richard III won’t be playing the lead fiddle much longer.

First-of-month swing prices were down from the weekend buthandily above February indexes Monday.
