Cheniere Energy has won approval from FERC to modify its Sabine Pass terminal in Cameron Parish, LA, to allow for the reexport of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The company cited shifts in the global market for LNG that have made cargoes more valuable in other markets.

Williams Calls on FTC to Lift Order Related to MAPCO Acquisition

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on Friday said it received a petition from The Williams Cos. asking the agency to reopen and modify an order that required the company to provide pipeline capacity to Kinder Morgan Operating LP, an operator of propane terminals, and to any competing pipeline wishing to connect to Williams’ natural gas processing plants.

Gulfstream Natural Gas System has filed an amendment to its FERC application that will modify its Phase II extension project across Florida, adding some additional transportation service in 2004, delaying a portion until 2006 and making rate changes to reflect the new design. The changes reflect the needs of Florida Power & Light, the pipeline’s main customer for the project.

Mojave Pipeline will shut in its Mt. Poso delivery point foreight hours July 28 to modify piping. El Paso’s Monument B Plantwill be down eight hours on July 29 for piping repairs. TheIWARMONU interconnect will be completely shut in while ITEXNEUNwill be limited to 35 MMcf/d.
