Chesapeake Energy Corp. made a new unconventional natural gas discovery in the Haynesville Shale near Shreveport, LA, which could have a larger impact on the company than any other play to date — including the Barnett and Fayetteville shales, CEO Aubrey McClendon said Tuesday.
