ICE Files for Secondary Share Offering

IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) Friday said it has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed secondary offering of 8 million shares of its common stock. The selling stockholders will offer 7,975,000 shares in the proposed offering, and ICE will offer 25,000 shares primarily to cover expenses it will incur in connection with the proposed offering.

ICE Improves NYC Trading Connectivity, Reports Gas Oil Volume Record

In an effort to improve access and reduce connectivity costs to its electronic energy trading platform, Atlanta, GA-based IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) reported Wednesday it has opened a new telecommunications hub for the New York City metropolitan area. The company also reported that the exchange posted record Gas Oil (heating oil) volumes on Monday.

ICE Boosts Electronic Trading Platform’s Processing Speed by 1,700%

IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) reported Wednesday that its year-long technology development effort aimed at enhancing the performance of its electronic platform for commodities trading was a success, noting that the platform’s processing speed improved 1,700% over the course of the program.

Electronic energy marketplace IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) said Friday that ICE Futures, its regulated futures subsidiary, achieved an exchange-wide daily volume record on Thursday. The Atlanta-based company reported that total volume in ICE Futures markets reached 430,939 contracts, surpassing the April 25 record of 407,303 contracts by 5.8%. Total open interest stood at 948,239 contracts, up 46.2% compared to 648,585 contracts at December 31, 2005. ICE Futures, which is the home of the benchmark Brent Crude futures contract, introduced the fully electronic WTI Crude futures contract in February of this year.
