The Potomac-Appalachian Transmission Highline (PATH), a 765-kV electric transmission project planned to run between West Virginia and Frederick, MD, has been shelved in the wake of a PJM Interconnection analysis, which cited “the outlook for a slower economic recovery.”

FERC Tuesday gave North Baja Pipeline LLC an additional year to complete and place in service a lateral extending from a proposed interconnection at the United States-Mexico border near Yuma County, AZ.

Rockies Express Pipeline LLC (REX) is considering extending its Northeast Express project an additional 40 miles from the Princeton, NJ, area to a point of interconnection with Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line (Transco) downstream of its Linden regulator station located near Linden, NJ. The regulator station has been a long-time constraint point on the Transco system.

A settlement filed with FERC last Wednesday calls for PJM Interconnection’s market monitor function to be conducted by an external firm, enabling monitors to operate independently of PJM management.
