Osage Exploration Spuds Fourth Mississippian Lime Well

San Diego, CA-based Osage Exploration and Development Inc. reported Monday that it has spudded its fourth horizontal oil well in the Mississippian Lime formation and the rock quality appears promising. The well — the McPhail #2-18H in section 18-18N-3W of Logan County, OK –. is in the 30,000-plus acre Nemaha Ridge project, which is owned by Osage in conjunction with its partners, project operator Slawson Exploration Co. and U.S. Energy Development Corp.

FERC OKs More Storage Service in Eastern Mississippi

FERC has approved a request to place into service a fourth storage cavern at the Southern Pines Energy Center in eastern Mississippi. The project originally was proposed by Houston-based SG Resources Mississippi LLC, but it was acquired by PAA Natural Gas Storage LP (PNG) for $750 million in early 2011 (see Daily GPI, Dec. 30, 2010).

Proposed Bakken Pipe Signs Anchor Shipper, Blasts Enbridge

Backers of the proposed High Prairie Pipeline for taking away burgeoning Bakken Shale play oil supplies fired two shots Tuesday in an attempt to untangle their 450-mile, 16-inch diameter pipeline project. They contracted with an anchor shipper for the line and filed a second complaint with a federal agency against Enbridge Energy Partners LP for blocking an interconnection of the proposed pipeline.
