Independent Gas Storage developer NGS Energy will develop a major transportation and storage hub from Perryville to Delhi in Northeast Louisiana, the company said Thursday. The new hub, the Gulf Coast Connector, is expected to connect the prolific Barnett Shale gas play to higher valued markets through interconnections with up to 13 interstate and intrastate pipelines.

An Omaha, NE-based storage developer filed an application at FERC Friday to build the Junction Natural Gas Storage Facility near Uniontown in southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia.
