Ozark Gas Transmission LLC, an Affiliate of Atlas Pipeline Mid-Continent LLC, will conduct a nonbinding open season for its proposed East End Expansion Project beginning March 6 and ending on March 31. The extension proposal calls for 100 miles of 24-inch pipe originating in White County AR, near the city of Searcy and terminating in Panola County, MS ,near the city of Sardis.

While BP and ConocoPhillips, the continent’s top two natural gas marketers, lumbered along complacently with 8% increases in physical gas sales in the second quarter of 2005 compared to 2Q2004, some of the runners-up were putting on the speed, with 15-31% increases in sales volumes.

Spot prices were flat to a few cents higher at most points across the continent on Friday generally in response to the continuing rise in Nymex futures prices, but transportation-related constraints also played a role. The cash market managed to add 30-40 cents for the week at most points compared to the previous Friday, while near-month futures set the tone with a solid 55-cent gain Friday to Friday.
