House Energy Panel Votes Out Pipe Safety Reauthorization Bill

The House Energy and Commerce Committee Wednesday approved by voice vote a pipeline safety reauthorization bill that calls on the Department of Transportation (DOT) to review the Government Accountability Office’s (GAO) recommendation for longer intervals between safety reassessments of natural gas pipelines, and to transmit “appropriate legislative changes” to Congress.

Gulf Coast Lawmakers Seek Fair Share of Offshore Royalties

Sempra’s Port Arthur LNG Terminal, Pipe Get Favorable Draft Environmental Nod

FERC staff on Friday issued a favorable initial environmental review of Sempra Energy’s Port Arthur LNG LP proposal that calls for the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal and associated facilities in Port Arthur, TX, to import and deliver up to 1.5 Bcf/d of supplies, which would be later expanded to 3 Bcf/d.
