SilverBow Resources Inc. is eyeing plans to ramp up natural gas production in South Texas amid expectations for stronger commodity prices and as more Gulf Coast export projects near completion.

SilverBow, which operates in the Eagle Ford Shale and Austin Chalk formations, earlier this year made oil development its focus. With gas prices hovering around $3/MMBtu, the company now plans to pivot.

“With prices now above $3…and with takeaway constraints from Webb County being alleviated, we’re once again investing capital in our gas assets,” said CEO Sean Woolverton during a call to discuss the third quarter results.
