PennEnergy’s Appalachian Natural Gas Gains RSG Tag for 99% of Production

Nearly all of PennEnergy Resources LLC’s natural gas wells have been certified as producing responsibly sourced gas (RSG), the Appalachian Basin-focused exploration and production (E&P) company reported.

Project Canary used its TrustWell environmental certification process and determined that 375 of 378 wells, or 99%, earned a gold or platinum rating, PennEnergy said. 

The global gas market is increasingly adopting RSG and other designations for certifying natural gas supplies from the wellhead to end user. Certified gas is viewed as a means of making supply more attractive to some foreign markets and potentially within the United States.
