The operator of North America’s largest power grid, PJM Interconnection, said its member utilities anticipate having more than enough electricity to meet projected peak demand this winter.

PJM, which manages the grid spanning 13 states and the District of Columbia, said it expects to have more than 185,000 MW of resources to meet forecast peak demand of about 133,000 MW. The 169,682 MW, or nearly 92% of the 185,000 MW-plus of generation resources, “are committed capacity resources,” the grid operator stated.
