Natural gas futures tumbled lower in early trading Tuesday as updated forecasts continued to serve up an outlook light on weather-driven demand into the back half of the month. The April Nymex contract was down 11.8 cents to $4.540/MMBtu at around 8:50 a.m. ET.

The April contract was testing technical support early Tuesday as a weak weather-driven demand outlook put pressure on prices, according to EBW Analytics Group analyst Eli Rubin.
