Mexico’s natural gas production averaged 4.35 Bcf/d in June, up from 4.04 Bcf/d in June 2022.

State oil company Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) produced 4.12 Bcf/d of the total, versus 3.80 Bcf/d in the year-ago month, according to upstream regulator Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos (CNH).

Private sector firms produced 227 MMcf/d, versus 242 MMcf/d a year earlier. 

The top five producing fields, all operated by Pemex, were Quesqui (691 MMcf/d), Ixachi (338 MMcf/d), Maloob (335 MMcf/d), Akal (304 MMcf/d) and Zaap (169 MMcf/d).

Pemex accounted for 95% of both oil and natural gas production in Mexico during June.
