Mexico’s natural gas production averaged 4.13 Bcf/d in November, versus 4.17 Bcf/d in October and 4.43 Bcf/d in November 2022.

State oil company Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) accounted for 3.91 Bcf/d or 95% of the total, down from 4.19 Bcf/d a year earlier, according to the latest data from upstream regulator Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos (CNH). Non-Pemex production averaged 213 MMcf/d, versus 241 MMcf/d in November 2022. Associated gas tied to oil production averaged 2.24 Bcf/d, while non-associated gas production was 1.89 Bcf/d.

During the first 11 months of 2023, the country’s gas output averaged 4.32 Bcf/d, compared to 4.09 Bcf/d in full-year 2022. Onshore production averaged 3.52 Bcf/d, versus 601 MMcf/d from shallow water fields.
