North American natural gas futures have enjoyed a positive week, with October rolling off the board on Wednesday at $2.674/MMBtu after four consecutive days of gains.

On Thursday, the New York Mercantile Exchange gas futures contract for November on its first day as prompt month settled at $2.942, up 4.3 cents.
