Chevron U.S.A. Inc. and joint venture (JV) partner Bunge Ltd. plan to work with Corteva Inc. to advance plant-based renewable diesel with U.S.-grown canola crops.

Working with Corteva, Bunge Chevron Ag Renewables wants to introduce proprietary winter canola crops and increase the availability of vegetable oil feedstocks for the domestic renewable fuels market. 

“Feedstock innovation is a critical element of the growth of the renewable fuels industry, and innovative solutions like double-crop winter canola not only benefit the lower-carbon future, but also benefit farmers, consumers and the environment,” said Chevron Renewable Energy Group President Kevin Lucke.
