CFEnergía, the fuel marketing subsidiary of Mexico’s state power company Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), is seeking offers from companies to supply natural gas and develop infrastructure in the Yucatán Peninsula in the southeast region of the country. 

On Aug. 10, CFEnergía announced a call for offers from investors interested in supplying up to 30,000 MMBtu/day of natural gas to an existing connection with the Mayakan pipeline for a 10-year term. In addition to the supply deal, interested companies or investors must also commit to develop, construct and operate the infrastructure necessary for the distribution of natural gas in the region, which includes the Campeche, Quintana Roo and Yucatán states, CFEnergía said in a statement
