Pennsylvania’s status as “a major energy producing state,” and the possible impacts the state may see from climate change have not changed significantly over the last four years, according to a report commissioned by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).

The venerable Permian Basin, which has seen its share of booms and busts in its 86-year production history, is booming beyond most of the industry’s recognition, said Alan Chambers, senior gas buyer for Atmos Energy Corp. and a native of the Permian region.

Crestwood Midstream Partners LP is buying privately-held Arrow Midstream Holdings LLC for $750 million, expanding its focus in the Bakken Shale and building on its just-completed merger with Inergy Midstream.
