Transco will perform piping modifications at North Padre Island Block A42 beginning Thursday. The work is expected to last two days; during that time no flow will be allowed at North Padre Island Blocks 892/893 and A12 or at Mustang Island Blocks 31A and 31B.

Flagstaff Station maintenance was completed ahead of schedule, but the Williams C turbine repairs will continue through Tuesday, El Paso said Saturday. With Flagstaff available, the capacity of the North Mainline was increased by 100 MMcf/d effective with Cycle 4 Saturday and for Cycle 2 Sunday. El Paso also returned the #1 unit at White Rock Station to service over the weekend, increasing San Juan Basin capacity 60 MMcf/d effective with Cycle 3 Sunday and by 95 MMcf/d effective with Cycle 1 Monday.

The Deer Island Meter Station will be shut in Dec. 2-7 while Northwest ties in new facilities as part of a station upgrade. Deer Island’s design capacity is 132,800 Dth/d. The work is expected to impact customer volumes, but Northwest said it has been coordinated with the downstream operator in an effort to eliminate curtailments. No other Northwest maintenance scheduled next month was expected to cause any constraints.

Citing decreasing soil and ambient temperatures, NOVA wants to increase its Alberta target linepack by buying about 195,000 gigajoules. The supply, to be provided through system inventory transfers and priced as a differential to a published index, would be required over a period of up to five days starting on or around Dec. 16.
