NOVA said Monday it continues to make progress at the 20-inch Peace River Mainline repair site, but due to “the potential for hydrate problems inside the pipe and the requirement to pig the line to remove this possibility,” the work now is not expected to be completed until late Wednesday instead of this past Sunday as previously anticipated (see Daily GPI, Oct. 18). “We anticipate that purge and pressuring will occur early Wednesday and that the line should be ready for service sometime later that day,” the pipeline said.

In addition to routine horsepower and pipeline maintenance begun earlier this month that is restricting capacity in Zones 1 and 2, Florida Gas Transmission will begin replacing station yard valves Saturday at Station 7 in Zone 1. The upgrade work will take about five days, during which FGT will schedule up to about 300,000 MMBtu/d through the station, down from 450,000 MMBtu/d under normal operations. Also starting Saturday and lasting about five days, FGT will upgrade the 30-inch mainline just upstream and downstream of Station 8 in Zone 2. During this work FGT will schedule up to approximately 850,000 MMBtu/d through Station 8, down from the normal 1,150,000 MMBtu/d.

Tennessee scheduled the repair of damages caused by Hurricane Lili to the Bay Marchand 5 platform for Nov. 4-9. Physical flow at the South Timbalier 54 meter will be suspended during this work.

The pipeline will be able to bypass gas through the station, but does not expect to be able to make deliveries south of WT-2. No flow will be scheduled at 13 points during the work.
