El Paso began emergency maintenance Wednesday on Line 1201 downstream of Valve City Station, reducing San Juan Basin capacity by 100 MMcf/d through Friday. Capacity of the North Mainline will also be reduced by 60 MMcf/d during the same period. El Paso extended the duration for unscheduled repairs of Bondad Station’s 2A turbine, causing a Bondad capacity cut of 100 MMcf/d, through Aug. 8. The pipeline previously had expected to complete the work Aug. 2 (see Daily GPI, Aug. 1).

More shippers are being added to a Tennessee list of those subject to daily variance charges as a result of “significant daily disparities between scheduled and allocated quantities” (see Daily GPI, July 30). Effective Wednesday, the charges became applicable to (contract number in parentheses) Duke Energy T&M LLC (33163), Granite State (3554), Millennium Power Ptn (32745) and Piedmont Natural Gas (3650). East Kentucky Power (9004) joined the list Thursday, while Caledonia Power (28870) will be added Friday and Cinergy Marketing and Trading (80096) will be added Saturday. On Sunday the list also will include Coral Energy (18510), Texaco Exploration (18487) and Noble Gas Marketing (80036). (Granite State was left out of the latest postings naming which companies were involved, but an inquiry about whether its eligibility had actually been lifted was not answered.)
