Saying its system continues to experience low linepack conditions, Westcoast asked shippers Thursday to ensure that “any accounts in a drafted position are trending toward zero to a slight pack.” It also noted that colder weather is being forecast for the weekend in the British Columbia and Pacific Northwest regions. “Historically, during the first cold snap, production tends to be at risk of falling off,” Westcoast said, and if it observes that production has been lost, a shipper’s account availability may be reduced to match actual production.

Due to an unscheduled outage at Bienville Compressor Station in North Louisiana, Sonat is reducing the amount of interruptible nominations scheduled west of Bienville until further notice.

Installation of reworked second-stage pumps is scheduled for Dec. 20-25 at the Trunkline LNG facility in Lake Charles, LA, during which terminal sendout will be limited to 850 MMcf/d. Additional reworked second-stage pumps will be reinstalled during February and March. Each of the two outages will last no more than five days and will involve a similar sendout limitation. (Based on a news report quoting a company spokesman, NGI incorrectly reported Thursday that an expansion-related shutdown of the Trunkline LNG terminal would end Monday, a day earlier than previously scheduled. The resumption of sendout actually will occur Tuesday as scheduled. NGI made two calls Wednesday to the spokesman trying to confirm the report but got no response.)
