Northwest Pipeline experienced a leak Tuesday afternoon on itsVancouver (WA) Lateral. There were no injuries. Preliminaryinvestigation indicates third-party damage, the pipeline said.Service was disrupted to direct industrial customer Vanalco and toindustrial customers of LDC Northwest Natural Gas in the area untilbeing restored at 11:24 p.m. PST Tuesday.

Algonquin will begin maintenance Friday at the Burrillville (RI)Compressor Station that will limit station capacity to 700,000dth/d. Additional limitations down to 400,000 dth/d may occur forfour to eight days around the middle of April. Algonquin will postupdates as those dates approach.

Questar will perform line work April 12-16 on Storage Main Line70, which extends from Northwest Pipeline to Questar’s Clay Basinstorage facility. No gas will flow physically in SML 70, butinjection and withdrawal nominations will be accepted on theNorthwest side as long as they net to zero flow. Clay Basinservices on the Questar side will not be impacted.

Williams Field Services has scheduled maintenance at the Opal(WY) Plant during April. A tie-in and six-month maintenance at theHam’s Fork Compressor Station (Shute Creek) will take about eighthours April 14 and cause a volume loss of about 15% for the day.During the April 18-23 period WFS will be performing ESD (emergencyshutdown) tests and semi-annual inspections on the Moxa North andSouth Units. It will also restage both units to handle higherdischarge pressures. Volume losses will vary daily between 6% and37%; see the bulletin board for details. Shipper nominations willbe cut on a pro rata basis.

Kern River is taking bids through noon MST Friday for mainlinecapacity from Dec. 1, 1999 through Feb. 28, 2000. The pipeline willcontinue to offer the capacity for December-February periods insucceeding years. Call Jeff Leishman at (801) 584-6682 forinformation
