Noting that old maximum capacity through Bondad Station was 585 MMcf/d, El Paso said it is in the midst of replacing the station’s three turbines, one at a time, as part of the Bondad Expansion Project. “As the new turbines are placed into service, the base capacity of the station will increase,” it added. “The capacities stated below are based on engineering calculations, but may vary, depending on actual operating conditions.” Bondad 2A replacement was completed March 2. Replacement of Bondad 1A and Bondad B are set for March 8-19 and March 29-April 16 respectively, and the entire station will be down for annual Department of Transportation inspections March 30. Bondad Station capacity (in MMcf/d) will vary as follows: through March 7, 610; March 8-19, 545; March 20-29, 640; March 30, zero flow; and March 31-April 16, 640. After April 16 the expansion project’s targeted maximum capacity of 725 MMcf/d will be in effect.

Tennessee announced that pigging of the Header and East Leg segments of its Blue Water System scheduled for March 8-11 will be delayed until April 5-8. A previous posting on the work (see Daily GPI, Feb. 25) had mentioned only that physical flow from the Shell Oil meter at South Marsh Island 76P (#012435) would be shut in for about 12 hours on March 8 without noting the total length of the pigging, during which area producers may encounter higher than normal pipeline pressure. One other change is that the meter shut-in is now set for April 8, the last day of the project.

Sonat reminded shippers of an early February notice (see Daily GPI, Feb. 5) saying that it would immediately cease accepting storage transfers from affiliate Tennessee at Bear Creek Storage Field in North Louisiana to an interruptible storage account (ISS) on Sonat and would be limited by tariff guidelines for firm storage accounts (CSS). Sonat reported that since then it “has seen a significant improvement in the balance between its Muldon [MS] Storage Field and Bear Creek Storage Field.” As a result of this improved balance, Sonat began Wednesday evaluating on a case-by-case basis requests for transfers from Bear Creek storage accounts on Tennessee to storage accounts on Sonat.
