Citing improved operating conditions, Tennessee lifted an OFO Balancing Alert Monday. The OFO had taken effect Saturday (see Daily GPI, April 9).

Sonat canceled Monday an OFO Type 5 that had been implemented Friday for 49 receipt points upstream of its Logansport, LA, facilities (see Daily GPI, April 5). Although the operational problems caused by excess upstream production have been alleviated, Sonat said shippers should remember that “this is a constrained area” on the system and closely monitor their flows vs. scheduled quantities so that a restoration of the OFO is not necessary. The pipeline also reminded customers that maintenance on one engine at the Muldon (MS) Storage Facility began Monday and will run through April 20, possibly causing cuts in CSS customers’ Daily Injection Quantity. A shut-in test at Muldon is scheduled for April 16-22 and will require a pro-rata reduction of CSS customers’ DIQ and Daily Withdrawal Quantity volumes to about 36% of current levels. Once the Muldon test is complete, a similar test will begin April 23 at the Bear Creek (LA) Storage Facility and run through April 29. DIQ and DWQ cuts at Bear Creek will be to 64% of current levels.

As a result of compliance with Columbia Gulf‘s limit of 1,050 Btus per cubic foot in gross heating value, imposed in January, the pipeline resumed taking receipt nominations Friday at DMS-Cameron Meadows (Meter Station 501).

Tennessee will be performing a tie-in in the West Cameron area April 25-30. During this project the West Cameron 173C and West Cameron 178 meters will be out of service and nominations will not be accepted there.
