Colorado Interstate Gas is holding an open season on capacity planned as part of a southern system expansion. The pipeline company said it is prepared to expand its system along its Campo Lateral in Las Animas County, CO, to Campo Junction and delivery points south of Campo Junction. It would expand its capacity by adding compression or looping as necessary to accommodate shipper commitments. CIG anticipates the expansion could be in service in October 2002. Parties interested in the open season should visit CIG’s bulletin board at https://www.epenergy.com/ebblinks/ebb.htm . The open season started yesterday and will close on July 31. Precedent agreements and offer sheets can be faxed to Craig Coombs at (719) 520-3792. For more information call CIG’s Tom Dobson at (719) 520-4606.

Texas Eastern expects to complete repairs between the White Castle and LaRose Compressor Stations on its Venice Lateral in the East Louisiana Zone sometime today. Due to an unexpected outage, Texas Eastern began physically restricting receipts upstream of White Castle Wednesday, but said it expected no cuts in nominated service either Wednesday or today. All production facilities affected by the shutdown will be contacted when the lateral returns to service so they can resume scheduled flows.

NGPL reported completing unscheduled maintenance of dehydration facilities on its High Island Lateral in Jefferson County, TX earlier than expected. It had previously expected to finish the work Friday (see Daily GPI, July 23). Scheduling of transport volumes at three receipt points and one delivery point affected by the repairs was resumed Wednesday.

Citing a delay in materials delivery, El Paso said the maintenance shutdown of Line 1105 in Crane and Ector Counties, TX (see Daily GPI, July 17) will continue through Sunday. It was previously scheduled to end yesterday. The work is causing a capacity reduction of about 90 MMcf/d at 25 points.

NGPL said it is receiving “very high deliveries of nonconforming gas containing liquefiable hydrocarbons” due to unusually low levels of upstream processing. Continuing through August and until further notice, absent mitigating actions acceptable to the pipeline, NGPL will not confirm any nominations into its Louisiana Line that would cause the gas quality blend to exceed 1,050 Btus per cubic foot. Eight receipt points currently exceeding this specification were posted on NGPL’s bulletin board.

In a similar vein, Columbia Gulf said a gross heating value limit of 1,050 Btus per cubic foot on gas tendered to it, imposed last January, will remain in effect through at least the end of August.

El Paso said smart pigging of Lines 1205 and 1218 will not occur Saturday as previously scheduled but will be done sometime in August; thus there will be no reduction of capacity through Bondad Station Saturday. The pipeline added that Washington Ranch storage field work, mentioned in a preliminary notice of August maintenance, will not begin until September.

NGPL said its sale of a number of offshore laterals to Green Canyon Pipeline, Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line and Triton Gathering will become effective Aug. 1. See the bulletin board for details.
