Koch Gateway is performing both scheduled and unscheduledmaintenance at its Jackson (MS) Compressor Station. Work on units#3 and #4 has been completed, unit #2 will remain unavailable untilDec. 10, reducing station capacity by 75 MMcf/d.

In an update on the outage of its North High Island system upstreamof High Island 154 (see Daily GPI, Nov. 27), Transco said Thursday work crews were en route to theleak site at Galveston 237 and would begin work this weekend. Weatherpermitting, repairs will be completed and the line placed in servicelate next week, the pipeline added. About 50 MMcf/d of production at10 meter stations is shut in.

El Paso took Line 1200 between the San Juan Mainline and GallupStations out of service Thursday morning to investigate anomaliesidentified by an internal inspection device. San Juan Basincapacity is reduced by 150 MMcf/d until further notice, but so farthere has been no need for allocations, a spokeman said. Theinvestigation is expected to take “several days.”

Transco reported Thursday being informed by most of theproduction area processing plant operators attached to its systemthat they will suspend processing in December for economic reasons.As a result, Transco expects the overall Btu content of its gasstream to increase, but said it will closely monitor receipts toensure they comply with tariff quality specifications. In addition,Transco’s field personnel “will place increased focus on monitoringthe level of liquids in its pipeline drips and will blow down thesedrips more frequently in an effort to minimize the impact oncustomer facilities.”
