Columbia Gulf said no one was injured when its 30-inch Line 200experienced a rupture and fire last Friday evening in a farm fieldabout a quarter-mile north of Interstate 20 in Madison Parish, LA.The fire was extinguished about two hours later. CG’s other twolines in the area were shut in but then reopened early Saturdaymorning. Line 200 flows were restored Tuesday afternoon. There wereno service interruptions during the outage, a spokesman said. Therupture’s cause remains unknown pending investigation.

The level of possible throughput during repairs on the GrandChenier (LA) Station’s dehydration unit is lower than anticipated, ANRsaid. The previously posted capacity of 550,000 Dth/d (see Daily GPI,Aug. 16) was further reduced to 500,000Dth/d effective with Wednesday’s gas day. This could cause a reductionof Firm Primary service through Grand Chenier, ANR said.
