Stingray declared a force majeure after being notified of a potential leak in the vicinity of West Cameron Block 543, and as a precautionary measure has asked operators of the West Cameron 544 and High Island A260 platforms to shut in until further notice. Stingray said late Wednesday afternoon it had closed the valve downstream of its 16-inch diameter lateral until investigation of the potential leak is completed. Stingray earlier had asked all producers on its system to shut in until further notice because it was experiencing an excessive amount of liquids arriving onshore that exceeded its takeaway ability.

NGPL said an unexpected outage due to a unit’s mechanical failure at Compressor Station 107 in Mills County, IA has reduced throughput capacity in Segments 13 and 14. Although it does not anticipate any impact to Primary Firm and Secondary-in-path Firm transports at this time, ITS/AOR and Secondary out-of-path Firm services are unavailable until further notice, NGPL said.

Noting that it had temporarily removed Line 20 in the East Zone from service Oct. 20 due to unscheduled pipe maintenance, Enogex said it now expects the outage to extend through Monday. The Line 20 smart pigging operation that had been set for Oct. 18-21 (see Daily GPI, Sept. 30) is expected to be rescheduled in mid-November, Enogex said.

Kern River reported being informed by Merit Energy that gas currently flowing through the pipeline’s Anschutz receipt meter station will be rerouted to the Painter receipt meter station. It is anticipated that the change will be effective Tuesday.

Southern California Gas announced several storage field maintenance projects that will cause injection or withdrawal restrictions through various dates next year. See the bulletin board for details. It regained 1,104 MMcf/d of withdrawal capacity Thursday following completion of a project at the Aliso Canyon facility.

Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) will begin pipeline and valve maintenance Nov. 11 at Station 8 that is scheduled to be completed Nov. 21. During the work FGT will schedule up to 800,000 MMBtu/d through the station; normally it schedules up to 1,075,000 MMBtu/d there. The pipeline also said it will continue maintenance on the compressors at its FGT/Transco St. Helena interconnect, expecting to finish that project Nov. 7. It is scheduling up to about 20,000 MMBtu/d at the interconnect, which normally is capable of 60,000 MMBtu/d.
