Southern said Friday that based on weather forecasts and projected demand on its system, five delivery groups (see the bulletin board for details) will be subject to an OFO Type 3 Level 1 effective with the start of Monday’s gas day until further notice.

Tennessee lifted an Imbalance Warning for Zones 0 through 4 Friday, but said it continues to request that all parties match their physical flows with scheduled quantities. Later Friday Tennessee also said it was lifting an OFO Action Alert for 300 Line meters in Zones 5 and 6 as well as 200 Line meters upstream of Compressor Station 249. But due to continued hot weather and repairs begun at Station 249, an Action Alert OFO remains in effect for all balancing parties with meters on the 200 line downstream of the station, Tennessee said.

Millennium said that as a result of continued investigation into a leak that occurred in January, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has requested that its system be operated at a reduced pressure. Thus effective Monday Millennium will reduce systemwide operating pressure by 20%, and said it was issuing an associated OFO that will remain in effect until further notice.

NOVA reported receiving a letter dated July 20 from Canada’s National Energy Board allowing it to revise receipt service tariffs at Empress and McNeill, jointly known as the East Gate. The amendments were proposed in response to stakeholder requests for NOVA “to address significant negative and unanticipated impacts to their businesses,” the pipeline said. Starting Saturday it planned to begin limiting each customer under rate schedules FT-R, FT-RN and IT-R at Empress and McNeill to be less than or equal to the greater of 100 gigajoules or the delivery nomination by that customer to each point.
