Despite projecting linepack within its operating limits targetrange, Pacific Gas & Electric extended a high-inventory OFO (seeDaily GPI, March 15 and March 16) into its third day today butloosened the tolerance for positive imbalances slightly from 1% to2%. The utility expects linepack to exceed its upper limit targetagain Saturday.

ANR has completed maintenance at its South Joliet interconnect withNGPL in Will County, IL (see Daily GPI, March 7), so NGPL resumed taking deliverynominations there Wednesday. NGPL will perform maintenance Mondaythrough Wednesday in the Buffalo Wallow area of Oklahoma, requiringthe shut-in of three points: American Processing-PP163 Plant Outlet,CIG-Willis Wheeler and KN Buffalo Wallow-Hemphill #2.

NOVA expects a pressure restriction on the Western AlbertaSystem Extension from Clarkson Valley Compressor Station to KnightCompressor Station to be removed in the next few days. Therestriction has been in place since Aug. 8, 1998 due to a linebreak. The pipeline is initiating control changes required toreturn the segment to maximum licensed operating pressure. Thiswill increase operational flexibility in the Grande PrairieMainline and WASE areas, NOVA said, and allow for increased demandthis summer upstream of the James River Area.

Tennessee is taking bids through today for the purchase ofinterruptible storage to be used by the pipeline for potentialtemporary balancing over the next six months.
