After ending a previous one Friday, Florida Gas Transmission issued a new Overage Alert Day to market-area customers Monday, citing forecasts of below-freezing temperatures in Florida during the next couple of nights. The pipeline set a 20% tolerance for negative daily imbalances.

Southern extended a Type 6 OFO for short imbalances, which was implemented Monday, through at least Tuesday.

In connection with its response to a rupture last week on a 30-inch diameter line downstream of Station 40 near Natchitoches, LA (see Daily GPI, Dec. 2), Tennessee said it had received a Corrective Action Order from the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) requiring a pressure reduction on Line 2 from Station 32 (Jasper, TX) to the suction side of Station 47 (West Monroe, LA). Tennessee announced a related force majeure event that became effective immediately in the area of Station 40, and said it had complied with the PHMSA order. “Tennessee expects this to be an extended outage and will explore possibilities that might allow partial or a limited operating range for Line 2,” the pipeline added.

Transco said Monday it would extend pigging operations on the 14-inch diameter North Markham Later in the Central Texas Gathering System through Thursday; the project originally had been scheduled for Dec. 1-7. Nominations are not being accepted from three locations on the lateral until pigging is completed, Transco said; see the bulletin board for details.
