Pacific Gas and Electric kept a systemwide high-inventory OFO issued for Saturday in effect through Sunday, raising it from Stage 2 to Stage 3 and boosting imbalance penalties to $5/Dth, before ending it Monday. However, a new Stage 2 OFO was issued for Tuesday with penalties returned to $1/Dth for exceeding an 8% tolerance on positive daily imbalances.

Florida Gas Transmission extended an Overage Alert Day that began Thursday for market-area customers through at least Monday, changing the tolerance for negative daily imbalances to 10%, 20% and 25% on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, respectively.

Northern Natural Gas reported receiving confirmation from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (formerly the Minerals Management Service) that the bureau’s concerns with the condition of the Mustang Island 758 platform on the Matagorda Offshore Pipeline System (MOPS), which Northern operates, have been addressed. Northern said it can resume access to the platform, and the platform owner has also confirmed that Northern can resume pigging and corrosion control activities on MOPS. Northern said it resumed accepting nominations for transportation Friday from all platforms connected to MOPS in the Phase I, II and III segments.

Southern said it will implement a capacity allocation effective Tuesday until further notice for the following groups: East of Wrens, Brunswick Line, Savannah Line, Cypress Line and East South Main Zone 3.

Saying it was in order to reduce customer impacts, Northwest has aligned the La Plata Station’s #2 engine maintenance with the Montezuma County hydrotest occurring Sept. 21-25. Therefore the work at La Plata that was scheduled for July 19-23 has been deleted from the maintenance schedule, Northwest said.
