Shortly after canceling an Overage Alert Day notice (see Daily GPI,Feb.1), Florida Gas Transmissionreported experiencing enough market-area demand to reinstate thenotice Tuesday east of Station 13 in northern Florida. As with theearlier one, the OFO carries a 6% tolerance for negative imbalances.
Reliant lifted a Critical Period operational alert (see Daily GPI,Jan. 28) effective Monday afternoon.
Sonat reported Tuesday it was experiencing a shortfall in actualreceipts compared to scheduled volumes at the same time its systemis running at or near capacity and below-normal temperatures areexpected to continue through at least today. Because the situationcould threaten operational integrity, Sonat said it is forcebalancing as necessary at underperforming receipt points. DestinPipeline identified itself as one of those points and urgedshippers and producers to match scheduled with actual receipts inover to avoid having their markets cut at the Sonat interconnect.
NGPL said Tuesday it is no longer accepting nominations at theEastrans/NGPL Panola point in Panola County, TX. This point is notavailable to flow gas into NGPL’s system, the pipeline said.
The Laguna #3 compressor has a damaged crankshaft that will takeabout three weeks to repair, El Paso said late last week. Itexpects the work to cut San Juan Crossover capacity by 30 MMcf/duntil Feb. 19.
