Prior to an explosion and fire around midday at the DCP Midstream East Texas Plant at the Carthage Hub (see related story), Gulf South said it had been notified Wednesday by DCP Midstream that a gas quality issue discovered during maintenance begun Tuesday by Gulf South (see Daily GPI, Feb. 6) would require the continued shut-in of two plant-related points. In a related note, TGT said DCP Midstream had called Wednesday to say their Champlin interconnect was being shut in until further notice “due to operational issues at their plant.”

MRT lifted Wednesday the System Protection Warning it had implemented last Saturday due to warm weather in its service area.

ANR has begun unplanned engine repairs at Joliet (IL) Compressor Station, which it said will reduce total available NGPL- Joliet Interconnect capacity to 90,000 Dth/d through Feb. 24. Based on current nominations, it is anticipated that the above reductions may result in the curtailment of IT and Firm Secondary nominations, ANR said.

Questar reported experiencing a mechanical failure at Thistle Compressor Station, which caused capacity at the ML 104 scheduling point to be reduced to 430,000 Dth/d Wednesday. Repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the workweek, Questar said.
