Due to colder market-area temperatures and in order to maintain its linepack, Tennessee is issuing a Critical Day 1 OFO, effective Thursday until further notice, “for all LMS-PA Balancing Parties (including SA contracts acting as balancing parties), LMS-MA, and LMS-PL Balancing Parties with meters located in Zones 1, L, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.” The tolerance for negative daily imbalances will be 2% of scheduled quantities or 500 Dth, whichever is greater.

With sub-freezing temperatures predicted to move into a large part of Florida that night, Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) issued an Overage Alert Day for market-area customers Wednesday. The tolerance for negative daily imbalances was set at 15%. FGT also said it will begin maintenance Monday on one of three compressors at Station 7. During this work, which is scheduled to continue into March, FGT will schedule up to approximately 375,000 MMBtu/d through Station 7; normally it schedules up to 465,000MMBtu/d there.

Effective with Timely cycle nominations Friday, Southern Natural Gas will cancel the OFO Type 6 for short imbalance that was implemented Tuesday. The pipeline also said it will end capacity allocations for 18 customer groups at the same time.

MRT will lift a cold weather-based System Protection Warning at the start of Thursday’s gas day.

Effective Friday Northwest will relax a Stage II (8% imbalance tolerance) Overrun Entitlement for all Receiving Parties north of Plymouth Compressor Station, implemented last month (see Daily GPI, Jan. 21), to a Stage III (13% tolerance) Overrun Entitlement until further notice. This entitlement will apply to the mainline north of Plymouth along with the Spokane, Wenatchee and Grants Pass laterals, Northwest said.

Texas Eastern reported restoring full operations at the Fagus and Egypt compressor stations on its 24-inch diameter mainline in Arkansas. The stations experienced partial outages late last month due to ice storms in Arkansas and Missouri that caused the loss of commercial power (see Daily GPI, Jan. 29).

Following closer examination of damage to a unit at its Douglas Compressor Station (see Daily GPI, Feb. 4), Wyoming Interstate Co. said Wednesday it now anticipates that the compressor will remain out of service at least through Friday. An associated force majeure declaration and a capacity cut through the Medicine Bow Constraint Point will remain in effect until repairs are completed.
