Tennessee declared a force majeure Tuesday evening for the 527A-1300 and 527A-1800 lines as a result of damage from Hurricane Ike. The 527A-1300 Line is a 15-mile, 12-inch diameter lateral originating at South Pass 49A offshore southeast Louisiana and terminating with a connection to the Tennessee-owned South Pass 55 platform. The 527A-1800 Line is an 8-inch diameter lateral about 0.1 mile long originating at South Pass 52 and terminating with a connection to the 527A-1300 Line. The South Pass 49 A and South Pass 52 meters were required to shut in until further notice.

Westcoast said its Pine River Gas Plant experienced a total outage Tuesday morning caused by the tripping of one of the plant’s main power generators. The outage caused low linepack Wednesday in the Mainline North and Mainline Central segments, Westcoast said, but operations were normal in Mainline South. Pine River’s “A” processing train was operating again Wednesday and workers were trying to bring the “B” train back up, the pipeline said, adding, “When additional details become available, it will be determined if business cuts are required.”

CenterPoint will begin about seven days of scheduled pigging Thursday on Lines O and O 1 O from the Red Oak (LeFlore County, OK) to Dunn (Logan County, AR) compressor stations. See the bulletin board for a list of receipt points where flows will be reduced by 50% (based on current nominations) during the entire pigging operation.

East Tennessee Natural Gas will perform Oct. 20-22 maintenance at Rural Retreat Compressor Station on its 3300 Line. During this outage receipts sourced upstream of the station for delivery downstream may be restricted, East Tennessee said.

CIG is holding an open season through Oct. 27 for capacity from various receipt points south of Wamsutter on the Uinta and Parachute Creek laterals to a new delivery point into the Public Service Company of Colorado and Source Gas distribution systems at Rifle, CO. Noting that it has acquired an existing 12-inch diameter gathering line that ran from Rifle to CIG’s Wheeler Gulch Station, the pipeline said it will reverse this line’s flow and it is expected to be placed into service next month with a capacity of 63,000 Dth/d. See the bulletin board for further details.
