Transwestern reported experiencing a mechanical failure Monday morning in Unit #5 at the P-3 (Pampa) Compressor Station on the Panhandle Lateral in the Texas Panhandle. While the unit is out of service, which is expected to be through Wednesday, Transwestern has reduced the station’s receipt capacity from 220,000 MMBtu/d to about 175,000 MMBtu/d, and delivery capacity has been reduced from 270,000 MMBtu/d to abut 175,000 MMBtu/d. The cuts affect the ANR, Southern Star and NNG [Northern Natural Gas] Gray receipt interconnects, Transwestern said, and there is no flow from the CIG receipt interconnect. It anticipates restoring full P-3 capacity Thursday. Transwestern also notified all Limited Firm Transportation (LFT) customers that LFT service will not be available in the Mainline Thoreau West area Tuesday through Friday.

Tennessee said Monday inclement offshore weather has delayed replacement of a subsea pipe assembly and installation of a check valve at the South Pass 77 location on Line 527A 700. The project, which began Aug. 26 and caused suspension of physical flow at four meters, was previously expected to be completed Tuesday of this week but now is likely to last through Friday, Tennessee said.

Gulf South said Monday the operation of all facilities at Eugene Island 51 on its Eugene Island/Burns System offshore Louisiana has been verified, allowing the resumption of nominations at 14 meters. The facilities on Eugene Island Block 51 have been verified and all locations previously noticed are available for service.

Citing “the seasonal decline in injection capacity related to increasing field pressure with increasing inventory,” Questar said it was required to reduce injection capacity Sunday at its Clay Basin storage facility to 330,000 Dth/d. That was being allocated at 25,000 Dth/d for Park and Loan services and 305,000 Dth/d for FSS and ISS customers, Questar said. Questar also reported that due to construction delays and to minimize pipeline constraints related to a mechanical failure of Unit No. 3 at Oak Springs Compressor Station, it is rescheduling rerouting work on its ML 80 segment to a later date. Customers can expect to receive a message confirming the new dates within the next two days, the pipeline said. It added that capacity of the ML 104 segment will remain at 300,000 Dth/d until further notice due to the Oak Springs problem. “In an attempt to remain at normal service, Questar is working on a temporary fix,” it said. “Additional work may be required in the next [four to six] weeks.”

Saying it was currently at 100% of injection capacity, Southern Natural Gas noted that a shut-in test of its Muldon (MS) Storage Field is scheduled from Tuesday through next Monday. “Based on anticipated supply and forecasted demand, we anticipate storage requirements to remain at capacity,” Southern said, adding that each day around 2 p.m. CDT it will post the probability of a Type 6 OFO. The probability Tuesday is “too close to call” for long imbalances and “unlikely” for short imbalances, the pipeline said.
