Florida Gas Transmission allowed a multi-day Overage Alert Day for market-area customers to lapse Sunday, but reinstated it Monday due to forecasts of warmer weather in Florida. The tolerance for negative daily imbalances was set at 25%.

Northwest noted Sunday that it “will continue to have very limited balancing flexibility” until a bottom hole test starting Oct. 1 at Jackson Prairie storage facility (see Daily GPI, Sept. 12) is completed and customers begin withdrawing gas out of the facility. “Due to our limited balancing flexibility, Northwest is currently experiencing high line pack on its system,” the pipeline said. “As a result, Northwest is requesting operational assistance from its customers to stay on rate or draft the system slightly.”

Texas Eastern reminded customers that the previous Sept. 16 start date for a highway relocation project on the Castor Line in East Texas was delayed due to Hurricane Ike. The outage between the Joaquin and Castor compressor stations is now set to begin Tuesday of this week and be completed Friday. During this period deliveries between Joaquin and Castor with corresponding receipts sourced upstream of Joaquin will be restricted to zero. Additionally, restrictions of receipts in the South Texas and East Texas zones for delivery outside that area are anticipated for interruptible and secondary firm service. The work will affect 20 receipt meters and three delivery meters.

Southern Natural Gas said a startup gas quality issue with Southeast Supply Header has been corrected and their interconnect was approved to flow effective with Intraday 2 nominations Monday.

Southern California Gas (SoCalGas) reported finding internal damage last Thursday at Kelso Compressor Station, the extent of which was unknown. Until repairs are made there will be a loss of 100 MMcf/d of capacity at the Needles, CA, and Questar Southern Trails border delivery points, SoCalGas said. The giant LDC also said it began the tie-in of a new section of Line 2001 into the Blythe Compressor Station header Monday, which is causing the the loss of all throughput (600 MMcf/d) at the North Baja delivery point through Friday. And replacement of electronic measurement equipment on dehydration Unit #1 at Aliso Canyon storage facility will result in the loss of 1,100 MMcf/d of withdrawal capacity Tuesday and Wednesday this week, SoCalGas said.

ANR said it had reopened its main office in downtown Houston Monday and resumed normal business operations. The Transportation Services Team could again be called at their regular contact numbers, ANR said. The pipeline also reported that based on current operational conditions and line pressures in its Southeast Area, it was limiting delivery capacity at its ST. LANDRY/FL INT point in South Louisiana to 100 MMcf/d effective Monday until further notice. It was anticipated that the restriction may result in the curtailment of Firm Secondary and IT nominations, ANR said.
