Citing forecasts of temperatures near 90 degrees in Florida and lower linepack, Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) issued an Overage Alert Day for market-area customers Tuesday. The tolerance for negative daily imbalances was set at 25%. FGT said it would not interrupt previously scheduled ITS-1 service in the market area “below the elapsed prorated scheduled quantity.”

Due to high linepack and the unavailability of storage injections, MRT implemented a System Protection Warning (SPW) Monday afternoon that it said would be in effect until further notice. The SPW conditions are that MRT will not schedule any volumes that result in a daily long imbalance position, and it will not accept any makeup of short imbalance positions. “If actual deliveries drop below scheduled quantities, shippers and or their agent may be required to reduce scheduled receipts by [a] like amount,” the pipeline said.
