Both of California’s two biggest distributors waited until Friday afternoon to declare high-linepack OFOs for Saturday. After issuing a stringent Stage 3 OFO earlier in the week, Pacific Gas & Electric made the latest one more lenient at Stage 2, with $1/Dth penalties for exceeding a 16% tolerance on positive daily imbalances. Southern California Gas said it will assess Buy-Back charges in accordance with its rules and tariffs to those exceeding a 10% tolerance.

Citing forecasts of 30-degree weather in northern Florida, Florida Gas Transmission notified market-area customers Friday that there was a potential that it might issue an Overage Alert Day on an upcoming gas day. If one is issued, Florida Gas said, it believes there is a low probability for the need to interrupt previously scheduled market-area ITS-1 service.

Southern California Gas said it had lost 150 MMcf/d of storage injection capacity for an undetermined period due to high field pressures at its storage fields.

NGPL reported Friday the completion of leak repairs on a section of the Gulf Coast Mainline #3 in Jackson County, IL (see Daily GPI, Nov. 14), and said the associated transportation constraints were being lifted Saturday.

Questar had expected to finish maintenance on Fidlar Station’s Unit 4 last Thursday (see Daily GPI, Nov. 8), but said Thursday afternoon that due to supplier-related issues, it now projects the work’s completion on Monday (Nov. 19).
